Thomas S. Ellis, Jr. is a distinguished professional with a career spanning decades in law, finance, and public service. His academic journey began at Darlington School, followed by Floyd Junior College where he laid the foundation for his academic pursuits. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration with highest honors from the University of Georgia, where he also completed a Master of Accountancy with a focus on taxation. Simultaneously, he achieved a Juris Doctor degree magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, showcasing his commitment to excellence in both law and finance. Later in his career, he enhanced his credentials with an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University.

Thomas's professional trajectory is marked by a diverse range of roles and achievements. His career started early at Ellis Motor Company in Rome, GA, where he gained valuable experience in sales and service. His dedication to service continued as he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, earning the rank of Sergeant and specializing in ParaRescue. Transitioning to the U.S. Air Force Reserves at Dobbins AFB, he further honed his skills as a Technical Sergeant in Control Tower operations.

In the realm of tax law and accounting, Thomas's expertise is unparalleled. He began his career at Price Waterhouse as a Tax Attorney and CPA, contributing significantly to the firm until 1985. His tenure at the U.S. Treasury as a Liaison and Treasury Regulations Writer underscored his influence in shaping policy and regulations. Since 1986, he has led Tom Ellis & Company, P.C., where he continues to provide exceptional service as a Tax Attorney and CPA, serving a prestigious clientele including the FDIC, Resolution Trust Corporation, and major corporations such as Turner Broadcasting and Bank of America

Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas is deeply committed to his community and family. He has coached Little League Baseball and Girls Fast Pitch Softball teams for over two decades, nurturing young athletes both on and off the field. His involvement with Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, pro bono tax assistance for military veterans, and active participation in organizations like the Rotary Club and Ridgeview Institute highlight his dedication to service and philanthropy.
